Mallorca 312 / 2

Last weekend the Mallorca 312 was on. One of the biggest events on the cycling calendar of the island, this year’s sportive attracted 1950 cyclist who started on clear and crisp Saturday Morning from Port Alcudia. The route took us through Pollensa and all the back side of the Tramuntana to Valdemossa, where you had to take the decision to go over and down to Santa Maria and back to Port Valdemossa riding “only” 167 km or, you could keep going and ride all the along the Sierra to Andratx and around the whole island, riding in total 312 Km.The weather was spectacular as opposed to last year’s race, in which it rained all day long, and so the pace was good all the way from the start. I rode along with good friend Tom and we took it easy in our way to Valdemossa, even managing to get a couple of shots of the great views of the Soller Valley, and after that the pace kicked up a little bit and it was a bit of fun in the last few Kms into Port Alcudia and the finish line.Great event and a great day out on the bike. Loving Mallorca cycling.
