Self guided trip reviews

Only last week on my last blog post I wrote about how great is to be based in Mallorca and get to meet all these people who I call my guests and hear a little about their stories and this week a couple from the UK, who came here earlier this summer on one of our Cycling Self Guided Trips, just wrote back to me with their comments about their whole experience and what a pleasant reward is to hear such good things about their cycling holiday in Mallorca.

Amanda a photographer whose work you can see in her website, and thanks for the beautiful picture decorating this post, and Andy a future beekeeper, glad to hear they had such an amazing time and here I share with you what they said:

Our holiday in Mallorca was one of the best we've ever had. Your work in planning the trip and tailoring it to our specific requirements was fantastic and all the arrangements worked perfectly. We enjoyed all the hotels, with Son Arnau being a particular favourite. Sineu was a great place to stay with the market being a particular highlight (along with our trip to the cellar Cantina). We were delighted with the restaurant recommendations as this always made it easy for us to find somewhere excellent to eat. Your route notes worked a treat making navigation easy and although we rarely needed to use the Garmin it was good to have the GPS available as back-up. The bikes worked faultlessly throughout the trip. As I said everything worked out pretty perfectly and the holiday, and Mallorca itself, exceeded my expectations.

On reflection, we probably wouldn't spend as long in Valdemossa again as it was perhaps a bit too 'touristy' (yes - I know we're tourists too) and might look to stay somewhere on the NW coast which we saw from the bikes is stunningly beautiful.

When we were looking for this holiday we were attracted by the relaxed, informal and personal style of your website and the flexibility and responsiveness you showed in planning our trip. The only reservation I had when booking was the lack of any ABTA / ATOL protection. We would normally only book through accredited travel companies but were persuaded through our personal engagement with you. No doubt there are costs associated with such accreditations but perhaps something you should think about?

I will look into that Andy, and thanks for the recommendation. Step by step… only yesterday I got our credit card payments sorted :-)
