CYCLING GETAWAY - SELVA

Settle in and make yourself at home for the week—this time, in the charming village of Selva, one of Mallorca’s hidden gems. We’ve been riding and hosting trips here since Mills & Honey first began over a decade ago, and we know it like the back of our hand. From this idyllic base, you’ll explore the island’s best cycling routes while enjoying the warm hospitality of a beautifully curated boutique property. With a private concierge and chef, every detail will be taken care of, so you can focus on the ride, the experience, and the incredible local culture.  As your hosts, the Mills & Honey team will personally guide you through Mallorca’s most breathtaking routes, from legendary climbs like Sa Calobra and Coll de Sa Batalla to lesser-known roads winding through the Tramuntana foothills. We’ll ride to Sineu’s historic farmers' market, visit family-run wineries, and stop for coffee in our favorite cycling cafés. And every evening, you'll return to the tranquility of Selva, where cobbled streets, mountain views, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere make it the perfect place to unwind.

Selva It’s a lovely little village on the foothills of the Tramuntana where there’s great riding wherever you ride with lots of variety as you can ride straight into the Mountains North and South along the foothills of the Tramuntana or head inland for some more flatter and easier terrain.

Selva is blessed with a privileged location near the mountains and near the sea but also an ideal starting point to explore the charming heart of the island with its tiny villages and buzzing farmer markets the most popular being the Sineu markets each Wednesday only 30 Km away and Pollensa on Sundays only 20 Km away.

Surrounded by almonds and olive orchards the area around Selva Caimari and Moscari is the most important center of olive oil production on the island and with this it has develop in a somehow unexpected gatronomic hub with some of the most renown restaurants. Along with great restaurants and olive and almond orchards come vineyards and wineries. Selva is right at the edge of the Binissalem wine country with some of the oldest wineries in Mallorca only a few Km away like Bodega Ribas in Consell and also one of the most young and innovative like Can Axartell.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Selva area has become one of Mallorca’s most inviting boutique hideaways, blending tranquil village charm with refined rural comfort and effortless access to the island’s great outdoors. Situated on the lower slopes of the Tramuntana mountains and surrounded by fertile countryside, it’s an ideal base for cycling, hiking, and discovering Mallorca’s rich gastronomic and cultural heritage.

Wander up toward the forested foothills for panoramic walks overlooking the island, or head deeper into the mountains for more technical trails that reward you with sweeping views of the central plains and the rugged northern peaks.

Seek adventure along the coastline with guided coasteering, canyoning, climbing, or deep-water soloing, perfect for those craving a burst of adrenaline amid Mallorca’s dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters.

Sample the island’s winemaking tradition with visits to historic bodegas in the surrounding region, where centuries-old vineyards produce some of Mallorca’s most distinctive wines.

Round off your day with a private yoga session or a restorative in-villa massage—an ideal way to relax tired legs and fully sink into Selva’s peaceful, slow-paced atmosphere.
