The Newest luxury hotels in Mallorca

THE LATEST ADDITIONS FOR YOUR PERFECT STAY

Mallorca has a wonderful array of all kinds of hotels and accommodations. At Mills & Honey we offer a full range of options; from private fincas, little boutique hotels, to bigger luxury hotels. We always have a preference for independent and Spanish owned/operated businesses over international brands. We’ve recently started working with a few new options we’d like to share with you. They are all ‘adults only’ and cycling friendly. Who doesn’t fancy some luxury after a bike ride? From Spa treatments, Yoga session to fresh on-site produce – these hotels all have a little something special and we’re proud to add them to our existing list of the best place to stay.

FINCA SERENA

Located in the heart of the island Finca Serena is an exclusive 5*, luxury hotel. The 40-hectare estate lies within undulating fields of green and gold grain. The property is filled with Mediterranean gardens, vineyards and walking trails to get lost on. They grow and make many of their own products, including olive oil from their 900 olive trees, their own wines and their on-site produce. This selection of local, fresh ingredients is the pride of their gasronomical experience. The outdoors spaces with palm trees and lavender provide a calming atmosphere and there’s plenty of other activities to do; Mindfulness classes, Yoga, workshops, visit the Spa or just sit by the pool with a Mallorca Herbes liquor and take in the beautiful countryside. There are some lovely rides around the rural plains with short climbs up Sanctuaries that provide views all over the island.

CA’N AULÍ

This 17th century mansion converted into boutique hotel Can Aulí is located in the picturesque town of Pollença, on the North part of Mallorca. The big spaces combining ancient stone, natural materials and modern artistic touches have a simultaneously calming and ‘wow’ effect. Their use of ecological paint and local produce shows their sensitivity to the environment and local history - much of the interior décor is from local artists. In spite of the central town location, they have managed to create a stunning interior pool and patio area that is the perfect spot for an early morning swim or to read a book with a cocktail in the afternoon. If you stay here on a Sunday you can experience one of the most famous art-craft/foodie/markets on the island. There are plenty of places within and around Pollença to visit and a broad selection of great local and Mediterranean restaurants in town. The close by Formentor road and Tramuntana Mountains offer some great riding in the area.

EL VICENÇ DE LA MAR

El Vicenç de la Mar opened its doors April 2022, so still smells new! It’s located in the lovely, quiet little bay of Cala Sant Vicenç on the North side of the island, with its turquoise waters and little seafood restaurants it’s a delightful location and very close to the unmissable ride to Formentor lighthouse. The head chef of their ‘a la carte’ restaurant El Vicenç for dinner and Bistro U Mayol for lunch is local star Santi Taura, who’s local and seasonal creations we really love (we used to go to his former restaurant in his hometown of Lloseta). The rooftop bar is perfect for post-ride to pre-dinner drinks with amazing views over the Med and Cavall Bernat mountain ridge. They have a very spacious bike center in the basement with a bike shower. There’s also a wellness center, 24 hour gym and a movie theatre, but like we said, the rooftop bar seems like the best place…

CAN FERRERETA

This recently opened 5-star hotel is located on south-east side of the island, in the town of Santanyi. Being further away from the Tramuntana – this is a less obvious cycling destination, but this hotel alone makes the town worth visiting. The building is a 17th-century pearl that has been lovingly restored and combines Mallorcan architecture with contemporary design to magnificent effect. Even though it's right in the center of the honey-colored town, it exudes a calm and tranquil vibe. On approaching the unassuming front door - you wouldn't believe that behind lies 32 rooms, a spacious garden, pool area, a spa, and 2 restaurants. The personalized service and attentive staff are outstanding. If you stay here on a Wednesday or Saturday, you'll be able to enjoy the town’s bi-weekly transformation into a buzzing market town. Riding in this area is flatter, so it can be a great base from which acclimatize, to test your endurance, or combine rides with visits to amazing little coves and the Carribean-like beaches in the area.

THE LODGE (COMING SOON)

This one is not even open yet, but we're very much looking forward to its opening and being able to take some of our groups there. It's located between Campanet and Pollensa, with perfect cycling roads right from its doorstep and great access to head North, South, East or into the Tramuntana via Coll de Sa Bataia. The Lodge is part of the Unico Hotels Family along with Finca Serena here in Mallorca, and a few other great hotels on Spain's mainland. We're not expecting anything less than spectacular, can't wait to pay them a visit.

Tell us what you’re dreaming of ….. we have it all!
